In therapy, safety and trust are the bedrock of change.
Emilia works collaboratively to create safe therapeutic relationships and shared understandings of clients’ inner worlds and relational patterns.
Emilia works with people experiencing a range of difficulties including:
depression and mood disturbance
anxiety and panic disorders
chronic stress
difficulties in relationships
grief and loss
difficulties with adjustment and life transitions
chronic illness and pain
challenges relating to fertility, pregnancy, and parenting
trauma (including complex and relational trauma)
Whatever brings you to therapy, Emilia strives to offer a space that is respectful, non-judgemental, and grounded in curiosity about your lived experience. Therapy is not only about symptom-reduction, but is an opportunity for growth, insight and meaning-making.
Emilia draws on a range of therapeutic modalities in her work - including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, ACT, narrative therapies and EMDR principals.
Emilia has worked in mental health and tertiary education settings since since 2013, and in public health, community services and private practice as a registered psychologist since 2018.

Therapy
Emilia offers appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
In-person and telehealth sessions are available.
Many clients chose to obtain a referral or Mental Health Care Plan from their GP in order to be eligible for Medicare rebates for sessions. More information about this can be found here.

Clinical Supervision
As a PBA-approved supervisor, Emilia offers clinical supervision to general psychologists and clinical psychology registrars.
In her public health roles, Emilia is and has been a primary supervisor to provisional psychologists, general psychologists and clinical registrars.
